There are many ways you can join our efforts to help those in need in our area.

Donate

• Donate your leftover change in a Pennies for Poverty Donation Jar at a participating local business.
• Donate food and personal care items to local food pantries.
• Make a direct donation to Pennies for Poverty via PayPal online or check.

Volunteer

• Join the Pennies Board in an advisory role. Email us at pennies@penniesforpoverty.org for more information.
• Participate in National Volunteer Week and visit VolunteerMatch.org to find an organization that needs your help. Nonprofits in Greater Newburyport have started posting their volunteer opportunities on VolunteerMatch.org. This website lets prospective volunteers search listings by geography and interest area and gives a little background on each organization posting opportunities. You can register to get email updates about nearby listings.

Participate

• Attend Local Poverty Matters Discussions to learn more and help find solutions.
• Attend fundraisers by local anti-poverty organizations.
• Tell others about the Pennies’ Resource Directory, which highlights the work of 180+ service organizations.
